Described by his closest friends as a "polymath nerd," Dr. Jason Kolowski has been woodworking for nearly a decade, along with teaching, cooking, playing guitar, building electronics, spending time with his family, and fomenting discord among the bourgeoisie. When not covered in sawdust, Dr. Kolowski spends his time reflecting on a twenty-year career in forensic science and biochemistry that instilled a strong foundation of scientific inquiry, accuracy, and problem-solving skills that translate seamlessly to the wood workbench. It has been said that when asked about the carving of the statue of the David, Michelangelo stated that he simply removed the stone that was not David. Making any innuendo that Dr. Kolowski is doing the same thing with wood would be ridiculous, as he does not carve statues. What he does do, however, is make detailed and accurate designs, translate measurements, perform quality checks, and in the end, let the wood tell it's own story. These stories, in the form of beautiful woodcrafts, are brought to you by The Wood Doctor.
